Zach used to went on trips to Israel back in 2014, at that time when Israel bombed Gaza and then 4 years later in 2018. Some people saw a now deleted post featuring Zach hanging out with IOF soldiers there when he was 16. He also befriends with an Israeli singer named Ido Dankner, who happened to be Zionist and the same can be applied to Australian actor, Nathaniel Buzolic.
On October 2023, he liked some of the Zionist posts on Instagram, which grew more concerns his fans about his stance. In early 2024, he muted his fans who are urging him to talk about Palestine issue on Discord, resulted in his mods apologized for his neutral stance for the issue.
