Derbyshire starts off the interview by saying "I wonder if you do have to acknowledge the barbarity the brutality of the attacks on Israelis in southern Israel by Hamas before this can move forwards." She makes no mention of Israel's many brutal and barbaric attacks on Palestinians since the early 20th century. (Note that she calls it "southern Israel" and not occupied Palestine.) After the interviewee talks about the greater historical context of Israel's brutal occupation of Palestine, Derbyshire doubles down with a leading question: "I just want to be clear. Are you saying that the Israeli citizens were legitimate targets?"
