It should be noted that there is no audio, video or full quotes of him actually making these comments - only 'soundbite' quotes of 2 or 3 words. So while it could be true, it seems somewhat unlikely. It is very unusual that only one attendee is reporting that he used these words in this particular context. One would expect there to be a lot of people commenting on it if it were true, given that his audiences are typically very progressive, and Canberra (where his comments were reportedly made) is an extremely left-wing city.
