Although Massie was the sole member of the U.S. House of Representatives to vote against House Resolution 888, which affirms Israel’s right to exist, he is not pro-Palestine and does believe Israel has a right to exist. Explaining his reasoning for his vote on twitter (see full tweet below), he said "I agree with the title ‘Reaffirming the State of Israel’s Right to Exist’ and much of the language" and that he only voted again the resolution because he disagreed with the fact that it equated anti-Zionism with antisemitism, not because of its support for Israel.
