Nicholas Andrew Langworthy is a sitting U.S. Representative for New York's 23rd Congressional District, elected in 2022, who uses his position in Congress to provide unwavering political, financial, and rhetorical cover for Israel's settler-colonial project in occupied Palestine.

Langworthy has repeatedly declared that "Israel has every right to defend itself against terrorism" and affirmed its "right to exist," framing criticism of the occupation as illegitimate while ignoring 77+ years of Zionist dispossession of indigenous Palestinians through the Nakba, land theft via Aaliyah (the racist settler-colonial immigration scheme that displaces Palestinians and hands their homes and farms to Jewish colonizers), and the establishment of an apartheid ethnostate.

He voted in favor of H.R. 6126, the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, sending billions in U.S. taxpayer dollars to arm the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) as they carry out the genocide in Gaza. He also supported H.R. 8369, the Israel Security Assistance Support Act, and backed resolutions opposing any pressure on Israel regarding Gaza, including calls for immediate ceasefire.

Langworthy signed onto or voted for H.Res. 888, which reaffirms Israel's "right to exist," equates denial of that "right" with antisemitism, and condemns resistance while whitewashing the root causes of Palestinian suffering under occupation, ethnic cleansing, and apartheid. He has introduced legislation focused on "no Americans left behind" in the context of the conflict, prioritizing Israeli and hostage narratives while remaining silent on the hundreds of thousands of Palestinian lives destroyed.

His statements consistently label Palestinian resistance as "pure terror" and "Hamas terrorism," amplifying Zionist lies without acknowledging Israel's systematic use of the Hannibal Directive (which contributed overwhelmingly to Israeli casualties on October 7 through friendly fire and deliberate prevention of escapes), the destruction of Gaza's civil infrastructure, or the targeting of journalists and medical workers that makes official death tolls conservative estimates, with the true scale of slaughter well into the hundreds of thousands.

Langworthy has not called for any ceasefire, instead standing firmly with the IOF's operations that have caused the displacement of millions of Palestinians, the bombing of entire families, and the ongoing ethnic cleansing. This pattern of complicity — voting for weapons, sponsoring pro-Israel measures, and using his platform to manufacture consent — directly enables the settler-colonial regime's atrocities, shields it from international accountability (including ICC and ICJ processes), and perpetuates the dehumanization of Palestinians as inherent threats whose lives are expendable.

His actions form part of a broader congressional effort to normalize genocide, launder IOF war crimes as "self-defense," and suppress solidarity with Palestinian liberation. By refusing to condemn apartheid or the daily violence of occupation and settlements, Langworthy betrays any claim to justice and stands in active solidarity with the systems of dispossession, cultural erasure, and mass killing inflicted on the Palestinian people.
