Has said that ASEAN need not have a hardcore stance on what is happening in Gaza and when asked about October 7th, described it as horrific and that Israel had the right to defend themselves. A lot of statements that are neither here nor there and purposefully mentions how the muslim people specifically would be more agitated about Gaza. This in itself has allowed so many Singaporeans be neutral and pushed people to create a narrative that the massacre in Gaza is somehow Hamas’ fault and that this is a “muslim problem”
