On October 12, 2023, tweeted "Israel has the right and legitimacy to protect its people against these terror attacks." This was after Israel had indiscriminately dropped thousands of bombs on Gaza and cut off electricity to the populace. By October 9, 2023 Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant ordered a “complete siege” of the Gaza Strip, cutting off food and fuel from entering Gaza. These facts make it clear that the siege on Gaza was not self defense but a genocidal campaign against civilians.
