Maryland Democratic Congressman David Trone, is not just a recipient of AIPAC money, but actually a huge funder of AIPAC, and considers Israel an ally. He wants to fund Israel militarily so they can kill more children. He's now running for Senate, and must not be allowed to win.
David Trone is a Congressman from Maryland's 6th district and is now running for Senate. He's a wealthy businessman as the owner of Total Wine & More, a large wine and liquor chain.
POLITICS
Congressman David Trone voted in favor of sending billions of dollars in military aid to Israel, ensuring the Israeli government can continue to commit genocide against Palestinians. He is one of the American Israeli Political Action Commitee’s (AIPAC) biggest supporters in Congress. AIPAC is a right-wing organization which supports Israel’s occupation of Palestine, illegal Israeli settlements, and the ongoing war on Gaza that has killed over 30,000.
Many members of Congress receive campaign funding from AIPAC, but Congressman Trone actually funds AIPAC with hundreds of thousands of dollars of donations – AIPAC uses that money to defeat progressive Democrats who are critical of Israel.
Just a few months ago, in late 2023, Congressman Trone donated at least $100,000 to AIPAC. Congressman David Trone refuses to back any limits or conditions on the billions of dollars that US gives to Israel each year – even though that money is used to violate Palestinian human rights.
If elected to the US Senate, Congressman Trone will use his position to support the continued occupation, settlements and Apartheid against Palestinians. He proudly posts the Israeli flag in front of his Capital Hill office.
Whenever challenged about his support for Israel’s actions, Congressman Trone simply criticizes Netanyahu but avoids criticizing the policies of Israel that have been in effect long before Netanyahu.
Congressman Trone owns a large liquor business. In his liquor stores, he proudly imports and sells wines from the Israeli winery Psagot which is built illegally on stolen Palestinian land. Also, David Trone has taken $105,850.00 in Pro-Israel donations across the 2022, 2024 election cycles (from OpenSecrets.org via ContributionBot).
