Charlotte Bogard Macleod (a playwright and screenwriter) has directly and "proud[ly]" funded the state of Israel during the genocide by donating their money to the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in 2025. Specifically, to a campaign which is meant to be a "a message of hope to [IDF] soldiers". This is a message of hope to war criminals.

As part of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra's fundraising campiagn in 2025 (years into the genocide, with countless well-documented atrocities by the IDF), CBM donated to the "Sound of Hope" campaign which says "Every concert we perform is a message of hope to [IDF] soldiers and displaced families.". The IPO is well-established as a key part of the state of Israel's culture-washing of it's genocide of Palestinians and as well as performing for the IDF has done duet performances with the IDF orchestra. CBM said they were "So proud to support the incredible work of the Philharmonic. In these dark, difficult times - music brings hope to heart and joy into our souls.". In 2025, proudly supporting the work of the IPO - and this campaign specifically - is proudly supporting (and facilitating) the genocide of Palestinians by the state of Israel and the state propaganda designed to obscure this to the rest of the world.
