On the 11 October, Stephanie McKeon liked and shared a post highlighting the events of 7th October. Several claims contained in this post were already being questioned and have been debunked, sometimes by Israel itself: rape, torture, desecration of bodies, it talks about “babies” dying, possibly a reference to the 40 beheaded baby story which has been debunked by Israel - there is only one baby on the list of Israeli deaths. It should also be noted that Israel’s death toll has been revised several time and that they have admitted to friendly fire: « Casualties fell as a result of friendly fire on October 7, but the IDF believes that beyond the operational investigations of the events, it would not be morally sound to investigate these incidents due to the immense and complex quantity of them that took place in the kibbutzim and southern Israeli communities due to the challenging situations the soldiers were in at the time. » (Israeli media Yedioh Ahronot). The post also claims that Hamas does not want a 2 state solution while, in the Hamas charter of 2017, the group states that they “consider” the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 border while still maintaining that Israel is a colonial project. It is important to note that several Israeli politicians have said that they do not want a Palestinian state alongside an Israeli one. This further the dehumanisation and diabolisation of Hamas. Stephanie Mckeon is also represented by United Agents who have demoted one of their employee for her pro-palestinian posts.
