Dean Phillips is one of the politicians responsible for funding the current genocide. He blamed the suffering of many Palestinians on Hamas.

Dean Phillips has stood by his support for Israel and initially refused to call a ceasefire which caused clashes in Democratic party meetings. On Nov 17, 2023 he publicly urged for a ceasefire but still holds the beliefs Israel has the right to exist and defend themselves. Also, Dean Phillips has taken $59,434.00 in Pro-Israel donations across the 2022, 2020, 2024 election cycles (from OpenSecrets.org via ContributionBot).
Even after calling for a ceasefire, he still voted in favor of sending billions of dollars in military aid to Israel, ensuring the Israeli government can continue to commit genocide against Palestinians.
He also voted in favor of H.R. 6090, which threatens to censor political speech critical of Israel on college campuses under the guise of addressing antisemitism. The ACLU has warned this bill could pressure colleges and universities to restrict student and faculty speech critical of the Israeli government and its military operations out of fear of the college losing federal funding.
